The extraction forceps are dental tools and are divided into two main categories, the upper extraction forceps and the lower extraction forceps, which in turn are also divided into the upper extraction forceps for the left and right quadrant and the lower extraction forceps for the left and right quadrant.
The angular shape of the forceps gives them the precision and easy access to the teeth, giving them a good grip on all diameters and crown shapes of the molars, premolars, mandible and maxilla that need to be extracted, depending on the part of the the mouth they are in. The more distal teeth, the greater the angulations, while the anterior teeth are straight for the upper jaw and angled at 90 degrees for the lower jaw.
The beak of the forceps with a perpendicular axis to the handles is the main criterion for the upper extraction forceps, while the beak pointing with the handles toward a longitudinal axis is the main criterion for the lower extraction forceps.
